I recently had the incredible opportunity to work as the Director of Photography (DOP) for the latest episodes of Timert Ntzuri, a Moroccan Amazigh television show Production by Tamazight TV and Production Executive by ArtlyProduction.

In this role, I was responsible for managing the lighting, camera work, and overall visual setup of the show, ensuring each scene authentically represented the rich culture we were showcasing. This project was an immersive and deeply rewarding experience, not just from a technical perspective but also from a cultural one. I had the privilege of working with over 90 talented Moroccan Amazigh artists from di verse regions such as Souss Massa, the Riff, and the southeast of Morocco.

The collaboration with such a vibrant and passionate group of people was truly inspiring. Each artist brought their own unique flair and perspective, whether through music, dance, visual art, or traditional crafts. This allowed me to discover new dimensions of Moroccan artistry and deepen my understanding of the country’s cultural heritage. The challenge of translating this cultural richness into visual storytelling was exciting, and I thoroughly enjoyed setting up each scene to reflect the individuality of the artists and their work.

What made the experience even more special was the amazing team I had the chance to work alongside. From the producers and directors to the crew, everyone was incredibly dedicated, talented, and passionate about bringing the vision of the show to life. There was a true sense of collaboration and mutual respect, which made the process seamless and enjoyable. Together, we created a space where the beauty and diversity of Moroccan Amazigh culture could be celebrated and shared with a wider audience. It was an honor to contribute to a project that highlights the incredible talent of Morocco’s Amazigh community, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help tell these important stories.
